The short version

Damian Pratt has spent 18+ years in commercial AV and low-voltage systems — quota-carrying B2B sales, solution design across Divisions 27 and 28, and the engineering judgement that comes from having to make systems work in the real world, not just on the drawing. He has designed and delivered multi-site programmes and built deep, practical expertise in networked audio and video — Dante and AVoIP troubleshooting across every kind of venue.

He is also a founder. He launched and built Soundry — a music, digital signage and AV consultancy working with hospitality and retail brands across the Americas: multi-site programmes where the experience has to be right, legal and identical in standard whether it's one property or fifty. Building a business from nothing means the advice Axon LV gives is priced in real payroll, real margins and real consequences. Nothing theoretical survives contact with having signed the cheques yourself.

Where the discipline comes from

Before AV, Damian was an Engineering Officer in the British Army (2001–2009). His world was specialist equipment — armoured, engineer and artillery systems — and the engineers who keep it running: teams of engineers managed in peacetime and in war, where equipment failure is not an inconvenience.

Running engineering teams meant owning the quality system — quality assurance, quality control, the quality manual — and driving continuous improvement under lean principles. That grounding shows up in every Axon LV engagement: measure what matters, write it down, improve it deliberately. It's also why the consultancy's doctrine is tweaks, not overhaul — experience is knowing where to drill down, and where to leave well alone.

Why a process consultancy?

Because across two decades the pattern never changed. The failures were rarely the technology, and rarely the people. They were the processes around both: quotes that took days, information typed three times, approvals that vanished, systems designed around bad inputs. Fix the inputs, and the outputs flow.

Axon LV applies that lesson beyond AV — to estimating, quoting, operations and any workflow where good people are being slowed down by a broken process. The tools now include AI and gated agent pipelines; the judgement about where to point them is the same judgement, earned the same way.

Straight facts. Leaner processes.

That's the whole pitch. If your operation could run leaner, one conversation will tell us both whether Axon LV is the right way to get it there.
